It is fun to participate in the Saturday Photo Hunt that is hosted by tnchick. This week's photo hunt theme is: WILD. If you would like to play along click on the link below, or on the button on my sidebar where you will also find the blogroll.

Just The Two of Us
Wish we had a picture of a wild Crocodile
as they are fairly common here in Florida.
However, we hope you will settle for some
tropical birds.
This is a family of Egrets
that I captured in our backyard.

Sigh. I can't begin to imagine any wildlife passing through this frozen tundra where we live, Pamela. OK. Maybe a penguin would be comfortable here. But certainly no beautiful birds like those. I don't remember the last time I saw a bird brave enough to show itself around here.

Oh wait! Yes I do. It was my little hummingbirds. Last September.

Sigh.....

Lovely! :)
We do get a little wildlife passing through here, even though we're in the suburbs since we live near some reserved park areas...however, usually what trapes through our yards are the wild neighbor cats. ;)

Wildlife in your garden, what a dream ! I would also like to have a swimming pool but here it's completely useless, it's always too cold and it rains too much, sigh !

BTW the picture of the "moon" landscape I have taken during my round trip in Turkey. Now I added this on my post because other people asked me too ! thanks for your comment.

how very cool to have them walking through your yard like that - I get birds but nothing as exotic as egrets!

Hi Pamela ~~ Great photo. The only wildlife I get here are blackbirds
Pigeons, sparrows and a few mudlarks (small magpies) and the odd
kookaburra (laughing jackass.)
Thanks for your visit and I am so glad you enjoyed the True Love story and the jokes. Take care, I hope your face is feeling better. Love, Merle.

Do squirrels count as wildlife? Or how about a stray cat? Or maybe the local kids that live in the neighborhood!

I just had a wild experience ... blogger just gobbled my comment and didn't post it like it should have. Oh well, let me try again ...

Fascinating photo! It must be very exciting to have wildlife pass by your place. We don't have anything exciting like that here. Great choice for the week. Mine is up too.

Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

the only wildlife that comes to our yard are the squirrels...they are everywhere.

thanks for stopping by today.

Great picture! Would love to visit you sometime.

We have lots of geese roaming around (leaving green deposits), mostly in the parks. Yesterday several were walking around someone's yard and Care Bear said, "DUCKS! In someone's YARD! What in the world are they doing THERE?"! She's so expressive.

I'm very behind - hope to catch up someday, but probably never will.

That's a wonderful backyard - i wish I was there instead of here!

It just started to snow very heavily, so tomorrow morning we'll have a lot of snow.... I don't like snow. We've managed so far this winter, because all Europe has had unusually warm, but now that's seem to be over... *sigh*

to kewl Pam...we don't get any of those going through our backyard but we do get quail, stellars, rabbits just to name a few....thanks for sharing and for dropping by my blog.

Cheers!

Just thinking about the cold makes me shiver. How neat to have these birds in your back yard. I have seen a couple of mallards and one crane in the drainage ditch behind our house but right now our main backyard resident are some underground moles. Nasty critters.

That's such a pretty picture Pamela. When we go visit the kids in Houston, we pass fields of cattle and the egrets are there by the dozens - right in among the cattle. They look so elegant.
Have a happy weekend.

Hi Pam! Beautiful birds. I love the rubber duckie on the pool. But the tree in the far background . . . what is that climbing up it? It looks like a HUGE lizard! You have a beautiful pool. Thank you for visiting me! Take care!

Great photo! We used to have ostriches and llamas that lived across the street! Now I wish I would have taken pics of them.

You better not look at my post for the day Pamela! You heart might go pitter patter a little bit ;o)

If you read this tonight please pray for my mom tomorrow. It will be the first time she has been able to go to church in almost four years. My husband is singing Josh Groban's song You Raise Me Up. Mom always cried when she heard that song because that's how she felt about dad. She said she wanted David to sing it and that it would be fine even if she cried. We are doing well though. I have a feeling it will be hard for me in a couple of months. I don't know why, I just do.

Are you still feeling pretty good! I hope so :o)

Thank you for all your encouragement Pamela~you, not my computer! LOL!!

GO COLTS!!! Love, Amy

You learned me something ! I didn't know that the flower on my picture were a hibiscus flower ! I took the picture because the flowers were so beautiful ! The "worst" is, I drink Karkadee tea all the day and it is made out of hibiscus flowers, lol ! But I only know the dry version and not the flower. I bought 1kg of it because I love it and here it doesn't exist. If you want to see more pictures about the carpadoce landscape and others go to my travel blog there is a whole report with pictures of turkey.

great to get that much. I like the
