Ok ~ Famous in Our Own Lunchtimes
1. What do you like most about where you live?
I love the sway of the palm trees in the Florida breeze, the sweet salty smell that fills the air at the beach, the feeling of being eternally grateful for the holy spirit of God, as you look out as far as your eyes can see, all the while being captivating by the most beautiful sunset that rests just above the water's edge, at the end of the horrizon; above the glittering blue sea.
2. Is there anything strange about where you live?
Florida is very flat and just isn't blessed with mountains of any kind, so there are no land marks by which you can guide yourself. People take life at a slower pace, there's never a sense of urgency to go or get anything done, so patience becomes a virtue. It is not uncommon to find an aligator in just about any body of water, and people love to come see the Manatees, also known as Sea cows, in the Winter.
3. What's one of your all-time favorite music albums, and why?
Presently, I love Steven Curtis Chapman's "All About Love", He was born and raised in Puducah, KY, He's a mix of 70's style light rock, orchestrated pop, and contemporary christian. I especially like "When Love Takes You In" I love children and this just does it for me.
Alan Jacksons album "Precious Memories" For anyone who has raised their kids and now has an empty nest and it is just the two of you, lol, you have to listen to the song"Remember When", it will win you over and bring up the flood gates, we play this over and over, it is awesome.
My favorite soundtrack album is from Titanic, James Horner & Celine Dion.
Ultimate Manilow is nice, Barry Manilow with songs like Mandy, and Looks like we made it. Love Luther Vandross, Elvis Presley, Michael W. Smith and many more...love music and I love to sing.
4. Did you have a passion for something as a kid that you still have now. (if not - what is one of your passions now?)
I love the natural beauty of nature; all forms ~ water, sunsets, mountains, flowers, precious little animals, so I always loved art and now I love to paint. I am fond of all water sports as well.
5. What do you like most about having a blog?
AM fond of meeting so many sweet, thoughtful, kind and hilariously funny people. I love that we come from all walks of life, from all over the world and we can all share our stories, our joys, our thoughts, our memories. I have shed tears over sorrows, laughed til my cheeks hurt, and learned many helpful hints from other bloggers. I hope to be able to print out my blog as something that might give our children a little more insight into our everyday life and their heritage. Now that it's just the two of us we hope you'll join in and do this little meme!

Fun! Makes me miss Florida!
Hi Pamela,
Great meme, and I loved learning a bit more about you..
The Alan Jackson song "Remember When" is one of our special favorites too.
The words just truly speak to us!
((hugs))
Pamela,
You make me long to see the ocean again. If I had all the money in the world (or enough any way for a second home any way) I'd have an ocean-front house. I just love it.
Did you notice I actually have a blog roll?? Yippeee!! My daughter spent hours here with me yesterday helping me follow instructions I'd gotten from a very sweet helper. I absolutely love your heading for today's post. See - you do such neat things!! I could never do that!
Me again - sorry for the extra "any way". I really should edit my comments before I click Publish!
Thank you for visiting today. We are so thankful for God's grace and mercy. I am grateful for new friends far and near.
Thanks for the sweet comment Pamela. One thing I did that really helped me to get brave enough to try things (on the advice of others) was to set up a practice blog. I tried doing the blogroll in that blog first so if I messed up it really didn't matter.
You can do it!!
Cool Meme. Funny what you put on my post! I don't think I'm dead, but I do feel like a zombie! Ha ha! Thanks for caring. ;)
Well look at those sparkly little letters. Where on earth did you find those? Adorable.
Years ago I lived in Hollywood, Florida, right between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. And you're right. Flat. But who on earth cares when the ocean's right outside your front door?
I tell you, I am surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and some of the most amazing canyons and cliffs you've ever seen and they're undeniably beautiful. But they're not the ocean and I miss the ocean.
The moment you said palm trees, I got a little misty eyed.
It was nice to see you over at my place again. I just have not been in the mood to blog this weekend, so I haven't been online very much.
Stillwater is not too far away from Tulsa, and I haven't even tried to switch my test blog over, but I do want to try. I will post about it if I do try. Let me know if you try it.
I loved your meme. You made Florida sound wonderful (but I do like our hills!) I enjoyed learning more about you. :0)
It sounds so absolutely gorgeous and makes me miss Hawaii all the more, "I love the sway of the palm trees..." I will have to get the Alan Jackson CD. He is one of my favorite country singers although I prefer rock. Thanks for playing it was wonderful learning more about you!
Pamela, thanks for visiting! What fun I've had visiting you! I especially loved reading about the rasberries that little Ben was blowing on your shoulder, and his giggles :) What a joy grandchildren are!
I so agree with what about sharing our lives with other bloggers in your meme.
Ah, the ocean, lucky you to see it all the time!!! Like Barb, I'm surrounded by the beauty of our countryside, but I miss the ocean so much! Wish I could smell that sea air!
Bravo, you did an excellent job with your first MEME:-) Loved all your answers and like you, I love Alan Jackson's "Remember When"...love all his music actually:-) I would love to go to Florida one day...my mom used to go every year to spend the winter there (did it for 16 years) but I never got a chance to go see her there. Hugs xoxo
Thanks for stopping by today. I loved your answer about why you blog. I feel the same way. You have a great site. Oh, about red bull, I didn't like it at first either. Now, I'm hooked. I have one about every other day.
People take life at a slower pace where I am, too. I like that. I also enjoy meetin' great people via blogging.
Thanks for stopping by my meme, too. I loved your answers and your header. Your whole blog is so artistic and you have a wonderful writing style.
Jennifer,
I saw this briefly but my computer started playing up again. Now I've had time to read it - very enjoyable!
I like Michael W. Smith myself - I went to a concert of his once and totally enjoyed myself.
I have friends in Florida, but haven't been there. It sounds laidback - New Zealand is quite laidback too. Except we don;t have alligators - don't know what my reaction would be if I stumbled on an alligator!
Very creative first meme from you - interesting and fun to read. I'm adding a link to my post. Sorry it took a while to get over here and read you properly.
Aaargh - sorry- that's supposed to be to Pamela.
(I had a friend called Jennifer in my mind - I'm a bit tired).
