It's Five Ingredients Friday Recipe Exchange
These cookies have...oops...five plus a pinch to grow
and inch (a little counting boo boo) ingredients. They
are a family favorite and I like them best because,
like their name, they are quick and easy to make!
Five + Ingredients:
- 1 stick margarine
- 2 C sugar
- 4 T cocoa
- 1/2 C cream
- 1/2 C Peanut butter
- 3 C quick oats
In a large dutch oven style pot, melt first four ingredients, bring to boil for 2 min., add peanut butter, stir until dissolved, remove from heat and add oats, drop by spoonfuls on parchment or waxed paper, allow to cool and set (approx. 1hr) no options, as I already boo booed! :) Better hide them, they disappear fast.
Sending out a big *thank you* to Overwhelmed With Joy for letting me participate in her Five Ingredient Friday recipe exchange that she is hosting. Click on the link to get more great recipes.
So it's Just the two of us hoping you make Quick cookies to enjoy with your family!

Hello Pamela ~~ I copied this recipe
and now I only have to find out how much margarine in a stick??
Thank you so much for your kind comments on my blog, I do appreciate
them. Take care, Merle.
Yum! Yum! Yum! These are the cookies of my childhood, except we called them no-bake cookies!
Merle, 1 stick = 8T or 1/2 C, funny I forget your from Australia! :) How does your margarine come packed???
I've had these before...they are Nummy!
:-D
Can you go wrong with peanut butter and chocolate? I don't think so. Thanks for the recipe!
Oh yummy, nothing like a quick and easy cookie recipe. Thanks for sharing Pamela :) Going to give it a try this weekend :)
Hi Pamela,
I remember these from Home Ec class in Jr High! We called them no bake cookies too! Haven't made them in years and years!
I make these all the time, they are super-de-duper!!
Hmmm, Can you tell I've been hearing Barney a little too much today?
Thanks for visiting my place.
These are a major favorite in our house. My kids just love them and most have learned to make them themselves. Thanks for a super sweet reminder!
These look delicious! Thanks for the recipe =)
I'm printing this one out. What a great recipe. We love peanut butter cookies and oatmeal cookies are my husband's favorite, so I know for sure he's going to love these. I may just fill my cookie jar up with these tomorrow. I already have all these ingredients on hand. Fun, fun. Thank you!
They sound absolutely delicious. The only problem around here is, my husband is very careful about how many sweets he eats - me - I just eat everything he doesn't!! Not a good thing.
My mom is doing pretty well. She has a very sore head today. The doctor had to do so much cutting her poor head looks like road map on top. I'm praying it will heal a lot prettier than it looks right now! Thanks so much for asking.
Mom always made these (no-bake cookies at our house, too), and I've made them a few times. Too good, so I don't dare make them too often!
Thanks for stopping by. Someday I hope it's "just the two of us". We seem to attract lots of visits down the street from the grandkids, even when we're not "officially" taking care of them. But they are precious!
Those sound deliciously easy! I just love peanut butter cookies!
Hello again Pamela ~~ Thank you so much for getting back to me with the stick of margarine, so now I can try these goodies. I hope my recipe turned out well for you. Take care,
Hugs, Merle.
Now, this is my kind of cookie recipe...simple and delicious! You can bet I'll be giving this a try!
Thanks for participating in my Five Ingredient Friday recipe exchange! :)
