Saturday Photo Scavenger Hunt ~ Safe
It is fun to participate in the Saturday Photo Hunt that is hosted by tnchick. This week's photo hunt theme is: Safe. If you would like to play along click on the link below.
Just The Two of Us
...were thrilled when our good friends, invited us to fly up and
share a luxury condo with them in Washington DC.
While visiting the White House, our friend squeezed her bear,
Bert, through the rod iron gates in hopes of getting a picture of him
in front of the White House. We learned real quickly, just how safe
President Bush is, as the snipers on the roof took aimed at my friends
stuffed animal and before we knew it, armed security guards
were surrounding them and ordering them to bring the bear back through
to this side of the gate. lol
Just the two of us acted like we did not know them at that moment! hehe!

Oh, My!! That would have been scary! (I don't blame tou for acting like you didn't know them, LOL!)
Glad they didn't actually fire on the poor bear. Glad to know security is in place (I think!)
((hugs))
LOL. That is funny. I'd have to do the same. Otherwise, if worse comes to worst, I'd be able to bail them out. :P
Mine's up here My photo hunt
Wow, I can't believe they saw the bear. Glad all worked out well.
He, he funny story ! Even in a cute little teddy bear a bomb is hidden ? Poor Bush, I wonder how he goes there were even the king is alone.
Ok that would have scared me!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I really enjoyed visiting yours. YOu have spent a lot of time making it very nice thanks for sharing.
I am a shiftworker and currently on nights, but I am hoping that this weekend I will be able to post some of the pics I plan on taking with my camera.
Have a fantastic weekend
That was quite an experience huh!
Thanks for passing by and Happy Halloween.
Oh my! I guess the security guards do have to be vigilant, as anyone could hide an explosive device or something similar in a stuffed animal.
Great take on the theme. Have a good weekend. :)
Oh dear! What a story and a bit scary!
Happy Saturday!

That's too funny! I can't get blogger to publish my photo today. I should have loaded it in last night!
ROFLMBO!!! That is tooooooo funny! Yes... we take security SERIOUSLY in DC! Especially at that one particular residence! I would have acted like I didn't know her too! LOL!
Just wanted to tell you that I haven't taken the picture with the kitty in the pumpkin. That would have been great, no, I found it somewhere with cat pictures.
Whoa... what a story. That added to your DC experience I'll bet!
LOL at you guys pretending you didn't know them. Glad to know to know that react so quickly to a threat although I'm not so sure a stuffed bear qualifies but you never know these days. Thanks for stopping by.
Woah! That must have been exciting!
Great take on the "safe" theme! I thought that it was a tough one so I've been having fun visiting the blogroll to see what others came up with!
Great pix!
Thanks for stopping by mine :)
Wow - what an interesting story for today's theme! I was at the White House last year for a tour and I know security was very tight to get in.
Thank goodness the bear survived - LOL!
Have a wonderful Halloween.
Mine is up now too.
Cheers,
Carol
O-oh... Good thing you all got safely out of the situation anyway :D
Oh boy that's funny. I guess at the time not too funny, but afterwards something to laugh about. What a nice little trip. You have some awesome friends.
Great story and great pictures. Who would of thought?? Have a great weekend.
Oooops... What an adventure yes. For the bear at least ;-)
how cool! well I've never visited but at least you know you were safe!
Wow- they take safety very seriously! I think I would have been scard.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by.
That is too much. Wow. Yup, they definitely keep things safe. :)
They really have to be vigilant. There are a lot of strange people out there nowadays. Some of them are just tempted to do something because of all of the security. Some of them want to do serious damage. Some of them just want the attention. I'm glad you enjoyed your trip otherwise! God bless! :)
Wow..wild story. Cute pics :)
Oh goodness! What an experience! Great picture.
Hello Pamela Great story and photos.
I guess in these days, they have to be careful. I smiled at you and hubby not knowing your friend. Thanks for your comments. I am glad you enjoyed the jokes etc. I hope you have had a good weekend. Take care, Merle.
Oh gawd! how scary is that. Yes I guess we can laugh now, but at the time I bet it was awful.
Oh, I just scrolled down to your banana pudding recipe, and you sure know how to tickle a girls taste buds, don't you? LOL.. hmmmmm yummy!
Take care

My goodness Pamela. That is just too scarey. I would have done exactly the same thing : "Never saw those people before in my life officer." What an adventure :-)

That is a great story! Ha! I remember going through the White House years ago. Today you can't except by special invite, etc... unless they have laxed on their rules. Thank for sharing and great photos!
