When Friends Meet...Hearts Warm
Today, I wanted to just tell you all how much your friendship means to me. This whole blogging thing has been delightfully enlightening, and extremely fulfilling! I have met some of the most wonderful, creative, inspirational, sweet and kind Christian people and could not be more touched. On the other hand, I have been moved by people who have brought me to tears with their heart wrenching stories. The kind of stories that make you break out the kleenex, that leave you in awe, that make you say "there is hope", people are still good. I have obtained some yummy delicious recipes, hints, tips and jokes that made me laugh! I have enlarged my personal icon so you can see what it says, "When friends meet...hearts warm".
When my daughter Chrystal started blogging, I was a bit unsure whether or not I thought this was a good idea. "You're going to journal about your everyday personal life online"??? Out there for everyone to see? Well, obviously I got a little more than interested I decided
to play too.It is funny, before I started blogging I was teetering with the idea of wanting to play; I was reading all of the wonderful blogs, completely charmed and amazed by the wide variety of styles and personalities out there in blogland. Now that I find myself ankle deep in blogging, it tickles me to read your comments, whether they make me see things from a different perspective, help me with a problem, or just make me smile. More than often, someone will make me laugh and that is just the best too.
I've always liked to think of friendship as a chain link. Each of us representing one link in the chain; each link touching another, depending on one another, and only as strong as the weakest link. So therefore, by taking care that being the weakest, our circle will never go unbroken... We sometimes never realize the profound way we may have touched another just by a simplest act of kindness. It's nice to know when you need a friend...you've got a one! :)
So it is just the two of us, thankful that we have met friends that have warmed our hearts!

Although I never thought of it in just those terms, blogging is really a friendship chain.
I've been thinking of how we all tie together in so many ways, and this is a great analogy.

That is so beautifully and sincerely written Pamela. I feel very much the same way about blogging. I think that's why I'm having trouble keeping it balanced with all the other things I have to do. I was praying about that this morning. I know right now things are out of kilter. However, I don't want to neglect the wonderful friends, you especially, I have made during this process. Your words have touched my life in a very special way.
Now....CHAIN SAW!! POWER WASH!!! You are absolutely terrific. I just sort of watch my husband do those things. Be careful.
We are having about the same kind of weather here in Texas. Isn't it a welcome change? We actually have the windows open this morning. Our bike ride was refreshing instead of "torture". I love it when it's like this!!
Now....I must turn off the computer (or at least put it in standby mode) and get some things done around here!!! My husband gave me a great idea for a post, but I'm not going to let myself write until the breakfast dishes are done, the bed made, the bird bath cleaned out, and my piano lesson done (and most important - my Bible Study lesson).

I remember having the same reaction to blogging as you had when my daughters began the process. I was appalled that they'd write personal stuff for the (drum roll) I N T E R N E T!! Then I, too, got intrigued and they just about passed out when I asked for help in creating one. Now I'm amazed at how much I look forward to connecting with my new "friends" every day. I don't quite understand it, but I certainly do enjoy it.
I want you to stay my friend...so you be careful with that there chain saw...ya hear???
