For Our Lovely Sweet Daughter
on her birthday...

Holding you, cradling you, admiring all that made you so precious,
with a love that welled up inside of us and was infectious.
You melted into our hearts,
right from the very start.

We dreamed of you for oh, so long,

and when you were born it filled our hearts with sweet song.
A lovely melody to last our whole life through,
like the sweet morning dew that completes you.

You are the bright ray of sunshine that lights up our days,
your smile, your giggle, is what we crave in so many ways.

Watching you grow up and seeing all of your talents unfold,
Piano, softball fastpitcher, journalist, your competitive spirit,
a confident, beautiful young Christian woman to behold.

My darling sweet baby girl, although there were times I called you a pistol,
You will always remain our sweet angel... Chrystal.
Your Father and I couldn't be more proud

let our voices ring out "we love you", and very loud.

His eyes used to light up and twinkle and
he was just a merry old soul.
He represents memories I will always cherish!

This year,
my hubby blessed me with a
NEW favorite...
A Willow Tree nativity scene.
It adds gentle grace to our home and will always

Christmas Photos myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

You didn't think I could let Christmas go without sharing a few photos did you! lol Oh, but you wonder why I didn't post yesterday...and I respond, "Oh, maybe it had something to do with erasing my entire template, last night". I would try and try to find my blog. Only, to find nothing but a white blank page when I published. If I clicked on my blog "Just The Two of Us", it would only give me a blank page, as well. I would try publishing and republishing and then noticed while I could see I retained every post I had ever written...my template had one or two sentences remaining. Yes, three hours later, I recreated my entire (newly designed) blog. lol...lol...lol At one point I almost threw my arms up in the air and said "forget it" but, no, alas, you mean too much to me and I have recovered, however, the tick in my left eye is becoming a nuisance, and I keep telling myself, never again. hehe! "Next time, let them come and take me away...hehe"! Yes, I have saved the template this time...

Christmas Eve, we had the kids and my hubby's folks over for a big Lasagna dinner with oodles of goodies.

Our son Kevin, was anxious to be the first one in line for his Mom's yummy lasagna!

Our folks are celebrating their 51st Anniversary today!
Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We love you with all our hearts and wish you a year graced with blessings and an abundance of love and happiness each and everyday! You both are a true inspiration to all ten of us kids and we are so proud to be able to say that whatever you did, you did something right with no divorces in our family...Someone's got to call the Today's Show!

Kevin, Renee and Little Ben...and soon there will be a little girl! She is due in February!

Aww, there they are with Terrence...what a blessing to be together for Christmas!

Little Ben was smiling from ear to ear with delight over the riding light up airplane Just the two of us gave him for Christmas! (double click on the photo to see that big smile)

Here Ben is loving his fuzzy book. Each page has a different animal on it with fur the color of the animal you can touch and feel. lol Humm, I see we have another animal lover in the family! Have you hugged the animals in your books?

Our Christmas tree all aglow!

A little nativity scene sits in front of a picture of our daughter Chrystal, while we missed her and Dave, we were glad they had a wonderful "1st Christmas" together with Dave's folks.

Christmas Day...we drove up to my Mom's lake house. Here she is, I just love that she went to so much trouble for us in she was so sick. The next day we found out the sinus infection went down into her lungs and she was put on 5 medications. Mom never ever complains she has such a loving, kind, caring heart.

Floridians, do the strangest things to make our homes feel Christmassy! lol (The blue herring normally doesn't wear a Santa hat)

If you look up high you will see a reindeer and sleigh set that belonged to my Great Grandmother. The material is paper thin.

This little Santa's eyes used to light up and twinkle and he would play his bell in hopes that generous hearts would give to the less fortunate. He was my favorite as a child and still is and when my Mom tried to spruce him up and add new white cotton, I cried, I just cherish his aged look!

My Mom's Christmas tree all lit up!

Pamela painted three Snowmen on this jar for her Mom and Dad about 10 years ago.

My brother Duane, and my Mom, oh dear, Mom did it again and closed her eyes. lol

The Peabody Ducks were dressed to the hilt!

A view of the lake and the Christmas tree.

Our son Terrence and his girlfriend Jenny.

Just the two of us, Dennis and Pamela with our precious Grandbaby, Little Ben.

If you enlarge the picture looking out my Mom's kitchen window you can see the dock and gazebo out in the lake.

Part of Mom's livingroom where we all congregated around the tree. We gave her that Santa a several years ago that is watching over her Christmas cards.

Here is my wonderful hubby enjoying Ben's reaction as he watches the little miniature train go around the track while the little ice skaters dance. So it's just the two of us wishing you joyous memories together with your loved ones!

Hope everyone had a wonderful, memorable and blessed Christmas with all of your loved ones! I know our Christmas couldn't have been more enjoyable. Everyone seemed genuinely happy.

Christmas Eve, we enjoyed delicious lasagna, south western rice casserole, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, and all kinds of cookies that I baked the night before. whew! My hubby, Dennis and our Son, Kevin were only able to get away from work for a couple of hours, long enough to join us for dinner and to watch the his folks open their gifts. We also had a blast watching Little Ben open his gifts from just the two of us! He loved the riding toy airplane we gave him where the propeller actually spun around and lit up like a multicolored disco ball. A darling little Mickey Mouse announces "all aboard" and the sings songs. The seat stores shapes that fit into proper holes for another fun element. He also loved his little lamb that played "O little Town of Bethlehem" and came with a little book his Mommy and Daddy can read to him about Mary and Joseph and their travels to Bethlehem, while he cuddles with the baby lamb.

Our folks loved the cross with the name "Jesus" carved in the crossbar wood , the nativity and praying hands that hold a in the fingertips, all made from real Olive wood, carved from Bethlehem.

On Christmas Day, just the two of us exchanged gifts privately. Dennis loved the three outfits I gave him, the study Bible, and he was thrilled I had his watch cleaned and then had them put a new crystal face and battery in it. I was touched and amazed to received the entire set of the Willow Tree nativity scene. He knows me so well! I felt so blessed!

Later, we drove up to my Mom's lake house. She really put on a Christmas feast that was astonishingly delicious! She even pulled out the good china for the occasion! lol My hubby led us in a heartfelt prayer fit for Jesus. We shared oodles of laughter and it was joyful watching every one's expressions as they unwrapped their gifts. We then fell into a competitive game of DVD style Family Feud! Fun! Fun! Fun! Mom sent us all home happy as larks with leftovers to boot!

So it's just the two of us, humbled to be blessed with joyful memories. Thrilled that our sweet Daughter Chrystal and her wonderful hubby Dave loved the custom license plate we had made for them "A House Divided" with the Patriots on the left and the Bucs on the right and below that "Dave "heart" Chrystal". All the lettering was etched in mirror and the logos were raised mirror and then we had them attach raised bubble glass and a frame. They loved it! We hope you all will cherish your memories too!

Spreading it Thinly... myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics myspace layouts, myspace codes, glitter graphics

'myspace

It never ceases to amaze me how just when I tell myself I am all caught up...zippity do dah and we are looking at a new day. My goodness but it is really difficult making time for everyone. Everyday, I get calls from people wanting to do lunch and have me come see their Christmas programs at church or go Christmas shopping. Got to spread the joy, even if it is on the thin side!

I called AAA Auto and they came out and replaced the battery in our, dead as a doorknob, van that hasn't been running for a few weeks now. AAA was so fantastic, for $108., they cleaned and changed all the connectors and tested the alternator and a few other things, then installed a six year battery with warranty. We were good to go again! It is nice to know I have my car back and won't have to rely so much on the sweet generosity of other people. Although I am very grateful that so many people offerered or took me here, there and everywhere! My sweet hubby took my car and had it detailed; it smells and looks so clean and pretty now...thanks Dennis! :)

I am so grateful my Mom does the big Christmas dinner on Christmas day and I made sure and told her how grateful I am today too, that I cook the Thanksgiving dinner and she cooks the huge Christmas dinner. Otherwise, I would be a dead duck cause I still have to cook a huge Lasauna dinner with all kinds of party food for the kids and the folks on my hubby's side of the family for Christmas Eve.

My pregnant and expecting DIL, Renee has been sick with a cold or flu bug. They really aren't sure which, so Kevin asked us to watch little Ben, our Grandbaby and we had an awesome time with him for thirteen hours on Sunday. The little tyke was so cute and we got such a kick out of him dancing to a new Christmas Moose we bought at Cracker Barrel, that plays a little Christmas jingle when you squeeze his antlers adorned with bells. lol Isn't it darling how a child is born with the instinct to dance, noone has to teach him that, it is as if he already has the joy of the holy spirit in him! What a joyful blessing!

It has been so much fun meeting and getting to know so many wonderful and new blogging friends. Everytime I go out to the mailbox and find sweet little packages or Christmas cards, it is such a blessing. It just makes my heart jump for joy and really, it means the world to me! I am one of those people that just love cards, and pictures, and I appreciate your sentiments so much. I just want to thank Carmen, for the beautiful stationery, Pea, for the lovely teapot, Jen for the sweet calendar; the rest of you for the beautiful Christmas cards. Thanks so much for your thoughtfulness. Yours is on the way!

The other day, Amy, of Laughing Through the Tears, posted a wonderful recipe and so I made them for my hubby's store Christmas party, they LOVED them! So, if you want the recipe click on the link and let Amy know I sent you! She'll get a kick out of that! hehe! She is a wonderful sweet and uplifting blogging friend!

So, it's just the two of us so thankful we have been able to meet so many new blogging friends and hoping you all know how much you mean to us!
